Corporate Vehicle Observatory conference under honorary patronage of the Ministry of Environment

This year’s third edition of the Corporate Vehicle Observatory (CVO) conference will commence under honorary patronage of the Minister of Environment, Professor Maciej Nowicki. In his letter to conference organizers, the Professor expresses a conviction that “the occasion will be ideal for discussion environmentally friendly ventures as well as feasible actions aimed at curtailing greenhouse gas emissions by the automotive industry”.

Indeed, this year’s edition of the CVO Barometer research panel includes a major part on environmental aspects of creating and utilizing corporate car fleets. The total volume of corporate fleet vehicles is growing with unprecedented dynamics which also translates into growing CO2 emissions. Thus in the context of one of three EU fundamental energy goals, namely reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 20% until 2020, the issue of creating “green fleets” becomes one of paramount significance. This could not have remained unmatched by the structure of this year’s CVO Barometer – a professional research panel mirroring awareness and approaches exhibited by fleet market decision makers, indicating new trends as well acting as basis for igniting industry-wide discussions on important subjects.
