On 17th June in Hyatt Regency Warsaw hotel a press briefing on the CVO Conference to be held in September was organized. Janusz Kowalik, CEO and Paweł Partycki, Sales and Marketing Manager participated on behalf Arval Service Lease Poland.
Mr Partycki presented Arval and its dynamic growth on the Polish market. He underlined in particular the rapid growth in number of vehicles rented out by the company (the figure should pass a threshold of 10 000 this year) and the market leader position on the Polish Car Fleet Management market as well as provision of complex fleet services offered by Arval – from financing car purchase through insuring and maintaining it to resale following completion of usage period by the Client.
Then, the presentation moved on to describe essence, aims and history of Corporate Vehicle Observatory and its professional fleet market research panel, the CVO Barometer, together with growing environmental issues component.
Questions asked by the journalists focused mainly on issues such as Car Fleet Management market development forecasts for Poland and environmental aspects of building and utilizing corporate car fleets. Janusz Kowalik answered the questions with an extremely optimistic view of fleet market growth potential backed up, among other cases, with historical data regarding Arval growth. He was more sceptical with regard to environmental issues, however, underlining that awareness levels among Polish managers responsible for fleet decision making are still too low as compared to standards in more economically advanced EU countries. Nonetheless, according to Arval CEO, as our market matures and implements EU regulations in the area of environmental protection, so will we be able to enjoy growing significance of environmental factors in fleet policies.
