In the times of economic crisis, companies prefer to lease and hire vehicles. In 2008 CFM companies were managing 23% cars more than in 2007.
This numbers were announced by Polish Association of Vehicle Hiring and Leasing. According to experts this sector shall record another significant increase in 2009.
Paradoxically, intensified interest in CFM services is caused by economic crisis. Companies tend to make savings and choose outsourcing - e.g. car fleet.
According to Paweł Partycki, Arval Sales and Marketing Director, the biggest growth can be noticed in long-time rental (by 9.7%) and incomplete leasing (+ 46.4%). Exclusive management services have decreased by 4.4%.
CFM companies are also hit by significant loss of car residual value. In last 12 months that value dropped by 10% in Europe, and as much as 22 % in Poland. In the near future it may result in the increase of leasing costs.
