Choosing supplier
Many months of negotiations and analyses took place between the moment of bidding, which aimed to select a company which could take over the responsibility for the car fleet of Pepsi, and the execution of the contract with Arval. The very well managed car fleet of Pepsi which consists of several hindered vehicles is a great challenge for an external company and requires meeting the expectations and processes of Pepsi. “The CFM services are connected not only with car delivery and coordination of their repairs. A full fleet outsourcing consists in handing over to an external company all tasks connected with the vehicle’s utilization. This process causes change in the fleet management model. This is the reason why, apart from price, it is also important to take several different factors into consideration while choosing a deliverer: experience on the market, the level of professionalism, the quality of processes and IT tools, as well as the service for fleets deliverers network (dealers, services, etc.)” - the Arval sales and marketing manager, Paweł Partycki, explains. Pepsi-Cola, taking into consideration the internal professionalism in the hitherto prevailing car fleet management, has finally chosen Arval Service Lease Poland – a company which funds and manages car fleet, and decided itself for the following car brands: Toyota (245 Yaris, 128 Auris and 52 Avensis), Audi and Volvo (a few vehicles for the company managers).

300 cars in 1 day
Some of the vehicles subject to the contract – cars appointed for management - Pepsi retrieved in April. On May 10, an enormous operation of fleet delivery took place - over 300 vehicles were handed down to sales representatives. “Our aim was to hand down all the vehicles on the same day, so that they could appear on the Polish roads at the beginning of the following week" - explains Ryszard Windyga, the Fleet Manager of Pepsi. The event that had been prepared for over a month, took place in Zbiroża, and gathered the sales representatives of Pepsi. The complex operation was prepared and coordinated by Pepsi, Arval and Toyota Bielany. After the presentation of new models, the users were transported by coaches to the bonded warehouse in Mszczonów, where, after presenting the registration card, they retrieved their company cars. The whole operation lasted only a few hours. “The undertaking was perfectly coordinated thanks to a close cooperation between Pepsi, Arval and Toyota Bielany. The contribution of the companies supporting the operation - the operator of a logistics company MOSTVA and, first of all, CARSERWIS, which together with the employees from the Pepsi-Cola fleet branch, carried out the operation of taking over the handed vehicles in a quick and professional way - should be emphasized.” - explains Ryszard Windyga, the main originator of the process. “Thanks to perfect cooperation and very high professionalism of Pepsi, everything was planned in the smallest detail in order to avoid mistakes, which could be easily made in case of an operation on such a large scale." - adds Paweł Partycki, the Arval sales and marketing manager.

Full outsourcing
The fleet of Pepsi-Cola is not only funded, but also fully managed by Arval. The offer has been “tailor-made”, according to the expectations, procedures, standards and indications of Pepsi. From the beginning the fleet of Pepsi has been professionally and reliably managed by an internal experienced team of specialists, so the process of handing down the fleet management to an external company could not lower the comfort and professionalism in services for drivers.
A good beginning of the year
The prestigious contract with Pepsi is one of the key contracts executed by Arval since the beginning of the year. We are expecting very good results in this year. It is an effect of many months’ work of our whole team. The current successes make us feel even happier, especially because next year we are going to celebrate our tenth anniversary of existence on the Polish market. “That’s why we should commit ourselves” – explains Janusz Kowalik, the president of the board of Arval.
