A reduction in the costs of use of the company fleet, an increase in driver mobility and safety, as well as an improvement in employee performance. These are the benefits of the innovative web platform from Arval.
Arval Active Link has been developed from scratch by Arval and gives its customers access to detailed information on vehicles and driver conduct. The system automatically processes data, which makes it possible to track such parameters as fuel consumption, CO2 emissions, mileage, travel time and location, as well as monitoring the use of the vehicle.
“The premiere of Arval Active Link – the most advanced telematic tool available on our market – is a milestone for the whole of the leasing industry in Poland. It is a product which, due to its innovative functionalities, enables the optimization of fleet maintenance costs on a scale that has been unachievable to date,” says Grzegorz Szymański, President of the Management Board of Arval Polska.
Telematic tools have huge development prospects, particularly in the context of the rapidly growing market of car sharing services. This is enabled by one of the modules of Arval Active Link – Active Sharing. “The company’s provision of cars to be shared by employees enables better use of the existing fleet. Until recently, few companies benefited from this type of solution. Such possibilities are provided by the latest telematic solutions,” says Paweł Racis, Arval’s Sales Director.
Car sharing, both private and company, is developing rapidly. Approximately 7 million people around the world took advantage of this type of service in 2015 alone (using a base of 112,000 cars). Frost & Sullivan estimates that, by 2025, this number will increase to 36 million, while the fleet of available cars will increase to 472,000 vehicles.
Arval Active Link also offers benefits to drivers. It offers them with greater security and privacy by securing the data gathered. The driver can classify his journey as private, using an appropriate switch in the car. The vehicle will then not be visible to the fleet manager (the GPS module is switched off). Data security and privacy in this mode of travel (private journey) is assured by the service provider and is consistent with the provisions of the EU directive on the personal data protection, which will become effective in May next year.
The Polish premiere of Arval Active Link took place on 22 November 2007 during the 9th National Automotive and Business FLEET MARKET 2017 fair.
